Richard Makin is the School Night Vegan.

Richard has been exploring the world of plant-based cuisine since November 2017 when he switched from life-long vegetarian to full-time vegan! Back then he worked in street food, running London’s first artisan ice cream sandwich van, so his weekends were usually way too busy for cooking. This meant that all his school nights became vegan nights!
Richard Makin: "As a long-time foodie, I had developed some pretty good cooking skills, but turning vegan was a whole new challenge! I had to retrain myself to cook without animal products. It was a surprisingly rewarding learning curve! I’m now a food stylist, recipe developer and food editor specialising in animal-free dishes.
School Night Vegan is essentially my food journal, documenting the meals I make and the stuff I learn. I hope you enjoy!"
